It is a deep bath, a thorough high-velocity blow-dry and a de-shed session that lifts out the loose, dead undercoat before it ends up all over your home. Your dog leaves lighter, cleaner and far less fluffy.
Which dogs benefit from deshedding?
Double-coated, heavy-shedding breeds get the most from it: think Labradors, Golden Retrievers, Huskies, German Shepherds and Border Collies, especially during their seasonal moult.
Will deshedding stop my dog shedding completely?
No treatment stops shedding entirely, because it is natural, but a good deshed dramatically reduces the hair around your home. Repeating it every 4 to 6 weeks keeps things under control. I never shave a double coat, as that can harm it.
