Common Questions
What is included in a full dog groom?
A full groom covers a warm bath, a full blow-dry and brush-out, a clip or scissor into your chosen style, nails trimmed, ears checked and cleaned, and a tidy of the paws and sanitary areas. Your dog leaves clean, comfortable and looking their best.
How much does a full groom cost?
Prices start from around 40 pounds for a small dog, rising with size, coat type and condition. Because every dog is different, the fairest thing is to get in touch with your breed and coat and I will give you an honest quote.
How often should my dog have a full groom?
Most dogs do best on a regular cycle of every 6 to 8 weeks, though curly and long coats often need it more often and smooth coats less. Keeping to a routine prevents matting and keeps the skin and coat healthy.
What happens if my dog is matted?
Matting is a welfare issue, not just a cosmetic one, so if the coat is felted I will always choose kindness over vanity and may need to clip shorter than usual. Regular grooming and brushing at home is the best way to avoid it.
