Artisan Styling & A Peaceful Atmosphere
Specialist Cockapoo Treatments
Our services are meticulously tailored to the specific needs of mixed-breed coats:
- The Signature Teddy Bear Cut: We specialise in expert hand-scissoring to achieve that iconic rounded face and fluffy legs, maintaining a soft, manageable length that suits your lifestyle.
- Matting Prevention & Recovery: A deep-cleansing hydrobath and high-velocity blowout—vital for penetrating the dense curls and lifting away the trapped hair that leads to painful knots.
- Curl-Specific Conditioning: We use premium, hypoallergenic shampoos and conditioners to nourish the skin and define curls, making home-brushing significantly easier between appointments.
- Gentle Hand-Drying: We never use cage dryers. Every Cockapoo is hand-dried to ensure the coat is perfectly separated, fluffed, and checked for skin health from nose to tail.
Discover a more refined standard of grooming in York. At Fluffs, we pair a walker’s heart with an expert stylist’s precision.
Your dog means the world to you, so choosing the right groomer matters.
At Fluffs, grooming is not just about appearance; it is about comfort, care and trust.
I hold a Level 2 & 3 Diploma in Dog Grooming and each appointment is a one-to-one experience tailored to your dog's breed, coat type and personality. I take time to understand what your dog needs and how they are feeling, ensuring every session is as relaxed and positive as possible.
From puppies learning the ropes to dogs who have been coming for years, every groom follows the same gentle approach.

Bespoke Cockapoo Styling in York
From a "Puppy’s First Groom" introduction to advanced curl and matting management, our Cockapoo menu focuses on coat health, texture, and that signature rounded finish:
- The Signature Teddy Bear Groom: Expert hand-scissoring to create that iconic fluffy silhouette, ensuring a balanced, plush appearance that keeps your Cockapoo looking like a puppy.
- The Deep-Cleansing Refresh: A specialist hydrobath and conditioning service designed to penetrate dense curls and lift trapped dander—essential for preventing the tight matting often found behind the ears and in high-friction areas.
- The Precision Blowout: Meticulous hand-drying (no cage dryers) to separate every curl from the root. This ensures a lightweight, tangle-free finish that makes home maintenance significantly easier.

Common Questions
At what age should my puppy have their first groom?
I recommend bringing your little one in as soon as they’ve had their second set of vaccinations (usually around 12–14 weeks). my Puppy Introduction is all about "paws-itive" associations—we keep it short and sweet with lots of cuddles so they learn that the groomers is a fun place to be, not a scary one
How long does a full groom take at Fluffs?
On average, a Full Dog Groom takes between 2 to 3 hours, depending on your pup’s coat condition and size. We take our time to ensure every dog feels relaxed and pampered. We’ll give you a "heads up" text about 15 minutes before your best friend is ready for their red-carpet exit
Does hand stripping hurt my dog?
Not at all! When a coat is "blown" (ready to come out), hand stripping is a painless, natural process. It’s actually the best way to maintain the wire-hair texture and deep colour for breeds like Terriers. I have been expertly trained to do this gently, ensuring your pup stays comfortable throughout the session
What is your appointment & cancellation policy?
I ask for at least 24 hours' notice if you need to reschedule. This allows me to offer the slot to a pup on our waiting list. Late cancellations or "no-shows" will be subject to a fee.
